Hi there!

This game is based on the card game "Scoundrel", created by Zach Gage and Kurt Bieg.

My main objective was to turn the idea of the original game into a more visually interesting concept.

It's a little complex to explain the rules, so I think it's better to read them straight from the source.

If you know the rules, let me tell you the adaptations I made to the game:

-Barehanded fighting: Instead of just clicking the monster you are fighting, you must shift-click them instead.

-"Treasure room": This room is purely cosmetic: a golden room, that only has items in it.

-"Defense" and "Max value": The value of your weapon (e.g.: 6 of diamonds, on the original) is called "Defense", and its "Max value" refers to this part of the rules:

"It is important to note that although you retain your weapons until they are replaced, once a Weapon is used on a monster, the Weapon can then only be used to slay Monsters of a lower value (less than equal) than the previous Monster it had slain."

(This can be seen by hovering the mouse above your weapon at the box on the side.)

-To jump a room, you must press space. If you press it and change your mind, slide your finger to the "C" key.

-After you die, just press backspace to retry.

-There is no scoring system. Either you win, or you don't.

Have fun!

I don't know the scoundrel card game but now I have a good idea of it. I think this computer game is a good portation of the original game. Once I almost cleared the whole card stack. Also I like it that it is html5 so you can play it cross platform. I would say: well done!

Thanks for the feedback! :D
